The basics

What does MEOS replace?
MEOS replaces the tool stack most massage schools run today: the LMS (Evolve, Canvas), the clinic scheduler (MassageBook), the enrollment spreadsheet, the CRM (MailChimp, Sender, Constant Contact), the document store (OneDrive, Google Drive), and the patchwork of payment processors (Stripe, Square, PayPal, Venmo). You keep Stripe for processing and QuickBooks for taxes; MEOS replaces the rest.
Who is MEOS for?
MEOS is for the owner or director of a U.S. massage therapy school running between 10 and 500 students per year. If you are running one massage school on MassageBook and a spreadsheet, MEOS is for you. If you are running a massage franchise's spa operations, you want Zenoti; MEOS is for the schools that train the therapists who work there.
Is MEOS built for accredited schools only?
No. MEOS is built first for state-licensed, non-Title-IV vocational massage schools — roughly 500 of the 914 U.S. massage programs. Accredited schools (COMTA, ACCSC) are supported and the compliance module includes COMTA-readiness dashboards.

Onboarding & migration

How long does onboarding take?
A new school can get to first-use in under one week. A typical migration from MassageBook and a spreadsheet takes 2–4 weeks including data cleanup. We run a structured onboarding playbook so no one is learning on the fly.

Payments & tuition

Can students pay tuition through MEOS?
Yes. Stripe is built in. Schools can create custom payment plans (weekly, biweekly, monthly, or custom dates), automate late-payment alerts, log cash or check payments manually, and give students a financial portal showing balance, history, and upcoming due dates.

Compliance & data

Is MEOS HIPAA-compliant?
Massage therapy SOAP notes are not HIPAA-covered in most jurisdictions, but MEOS is built to HIPAA-adjacent standards: encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access control at the row level, audit logs on every state change, and a path to SOC 2 Type I in 2026.
What state reporting does MEOS support?
Arizona PPSE annual enrollment reporting is built in for the 2026 pilot. Additional states are added in the order our customers need them. The underlying fields (attendance percentages, clock hours, refund calculations, withdrawal dates and reasons) are tracked in every state; the exports are state-specific.

Curriculum & exams

What about MBLEx exam prep?
MEOS includes MBLEx readiness as a derived score from each student's coursework, quiz performance, and clinical sign-offs. It is not a separate app your students download — it is the same data that graded their course, surfaced as a cohort-level pass-rate forecast for the school owner.
